ABOUT PALM BEACH MEDIA GROUP
Palm Beach Media Group is a proven leader in publishing excellence. The company produces 11 magazines and three websites in the ultra-luxury market—its two flagship monthlies, Palm Beach Illustrated (founded in 1952) and Naples Illustrated (founded in 1998), in addition to Palm Beach Charity Register; Naples Charity Register; Coquina, Modern Florida Living; and Dine239, Naples’ Ultimate Dining Guide. The company’s contract publications include Traditions, the magazine of The Breakers; The Jewel of Palm Beach, the magazine of The Mar-a-Lago Club; Salut!, the magazine of the Naples Winter Wine Festival; Fifth Avenue South, the magazine of Naples’ Fifth Avenue Business Improvement District; and Art & Culture, the magazine of the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County.
The corporation was founded by Ronald J. Woods, a former Michigan industrialist, and Florida resident. After his purchase of Palm Beach Media Group in 1991, Mr. Woods invested heavily in the firm, bringing in extensive business and publishing talent and upgrading both facilities and staff. The results put Palm Beach Media Group—a profitable and fast-growing privately held corporation—on the map.
In 2017 Palm Beach Media Group was acquired by Hour Media Group LLC. Hour Media Group is a Michigan-based multi-media company which publishes 70 magazines and custom titles, 22 consumer websites, 32 shows and events throughout the United States. The company is recognized as an influential publisher of city, regional and custom publications, including the marquee titles, Hour Detroit, Minnesota Monthly and Sacramento Magazine. The company has offices in Michigan, California, Florida and Alabama, with over 200 employees across the country.
