A study released by the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County shows the marine industry has an annual direct economic impact of $1.35 billion in Palm Beach County. With 47 miles of Atlantic Ocean coastline, from deep-sea fishing in the Gulf Stream to scuba diving in nearby reefs, to sailing the protected waters of the Intracoastal, this is a boater’s paradise. West Palm Beach is host to the Palm Beach International Boat Show, one of the Top 10 Boat Shows in the country.

The Port of Palm Beach located in Riviera Beach connects to the Atlantic Ocean through the Lake Worth Inlet. It is the fourth-busiest container port in Florida and eighteenth in the nation. The port has a huge impact on business throughout the county, providing a shipping hub for both inbound and outbound trade, intermodal distribution, as well as being a terminal for cruise ships.
