Transit Oriented Development in Palm Beach County

1475

South Florida’s commuter corridor is experiencing a major upgrade, with construction underway on both of the All Aboard Florida’s Brightline (connecting Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach with Orlando) and the expanded TriRail Coastal Line (Downtown Jupiter to Downtown Miami). These two rail lines run through urban West Palm Beach and are bringing major housing developments with them.

Transit Village developed by Mike Masonoff is bringing 1.1 million sq. ft. 420 apartments, 300,000 square feet of office space, a 300-room hotel including fitness center and conference/meeting rooms, 33,000 square feet of retail, 2,000 parking spaces, and a rooftop entertainment space. The largest tower will be 25 stories tall, and Transit Village will be the largest construction project in downtown West Palm Beach.

Complimenting this development, only two blocks away All Aboard Florida is planning 275 residential units, 13,472 square feet of ground-floor retail/restaurants, 3,668 square feet of office, and an 800-space parking garage with an amenity deck to compliment the passenger rail station. With such amazing urban development coming soon, West Palm Beach is clearly the hub of activity in South Florida.
