Palm Beach Area on 2016 List of Best Cities to Retire

Now that you have decided to move to the Palm Beach to live, work and play, you will also find comfort in knowing that it is also a great place for you to plan your retirement in. Multiple Florida cities are listed in ValuePenguin’s 2016 Best Cities to Retire list, with the Palm Beach area making it into spot #13.

ValuePenguin (a data analysis company based in NYC) used criteria such as Housing and Taxes, Healthcare and Safety, Travel and Leisure, and Quality of Life to determine overall city scores.

According to the report, the Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach area came in overall as #13 on the list out of 200 who were rated. The area scored particularly well in the category of Healthcare and Safety, coming in 7th out of 200 cities. They scored 8th in the category of Quality of Life.

Port St. Lucie, which is a city located in one of Florida’s fastest growing counties (St. Lucie County) was ranked overall at #47, but scored particularly well in the categories of Housing and Taxes (#15) and Quality of Life (#23).

11 additional Florida cities made it onto this year’s list.
